Happy New Year!

Dear Diary,

I secretly started a Christmas Tradition so many years ago I can't even recall when. It was and still is one of the best ideas I every had. I buy myself a Christmas gift or so just in case I don't like what I get. Everyone wins because I'm joyous and not pouting over the holidays. I think it all started when I was married to Voldemort and our first Christmas together, he bought me red long handled underwear. When confronted with my bitter tears and hysteria his thoughtful response was "Well, you've been saying you're cold!"

Enough about that.....

Isn't this Fairy adorable! My scanning does not do it justice. It is brighter and a lot more colorful in real life. I bought it for myself for Christmas at Marsha from Tumble Fish Studio's Etsy Shop. When my sister Sarah Ann was visiting I found the perfect frame for it. Marsha is so creative and full of energy! I love following her blog and seeing what she is up to. Ya'll check her out at

I know what this little fairy is thinking. She hates to do laundry, there is always a pile of laundry on the floor and she just discovered that she put Ian's favorite white South Park T-shirt in with the darks and it is now a faded dingy looking blue. Hence the dunce cap!

Oh, I'm so very glad you like her. She's my favorite fairy girl subject to use - I just love her pout, it applies to so many ideas/thoughts for me. Thanks for the link too. You are too good to me!

Wishing you a very happy and prosperous new year!
Marsha

p.s. still thinking of red monkey names - cherry, scarlet, rose, . . .

We knew your marriage was doomed when you got the long johns but when the diamond from your wedding ring disapeared and was later found in the battleship game it was as though your life was a badly written sitcom. LOOK how far you have come!

I do so enjoy your memories. You have always been one clever sista.

I found out a long time ago, if you buy your own gifts, you will always get what you want! Besides... we are worth it.

PS- my worst christmas gift was a carpet shampooer.

I remember the years of Voldemort, too. And I'm so glad he's gone. But throughout those dark days, you always remained talented, clever, funny and the best friend I've ever had. Art heals. And you have continually created the most healing art of my life. You inspire me!
